** Low Rez Jam 2023 Submission **

- Game May Take Awhile To Load , Please Be Patient -

In this Board-Based Card game, utilize creatures to defeat your opponent!

This project was heavily inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist of The Roses ; an old school title from the PlayStation 2 Era. In this game, you maneuver  your Deck Leader around the board while summoning creatures from your deck. Your Goal is to reduce your opponent's HP to zero, indicated by the red crosses atop the screen.

Limitations of Jam build -

Terrain : (the different colored cells of the board) are meant to, as they do in Duelist of The Roses, boost/lower creatures' stats depending on a creature's type alignment. Ex. Creatures with the Undead Type thrive in Graveyard terrain, Sweets Type thrive in Carnival terrain, etc. Unfortunately, this feature is absent in the jam build of the game.

Defense Stat :  A Creature's ability to take a hit is Supposed to be based on their defense stat. Sadly, the defense stat isn't functioning in this build of the game, so all battles are weighed out with the creatures' attack stats. Higher number wins.

Unique Victory/Defeat Scenes : Special animations are meant to play as the player wins or losses a battle. As things currently stand, there are no such scenes. The player is instead booted back to the Title Screen after a battle is over.

Card Password System  : I just think they're neat. Unfortunately, we'll have to do without one in this game for quite some time.

AI's Kinda Weird : The AI makes some really questionable choices sometimes. Just beat 'em up.
